At the Hobart Cup on February 8th I entered Myer Fashions on the Field, announced the winner and will now have the honour of representing my home state of Tasmania in the Myer Fashions on the Field National final on Crown Oaks day.
I flew down to Hobart on Saturday and my mum drove down to Hobart from the north of the state for us to have a girls weekend and then attend the races on Monday. We did all the favourite's, Salamanca, Smolt for dinner, MONA, and I even got mum drinking espresso martinis.
My bag is a royal blue textured Olga Berg clutch with a chunky gold clasp. I selected this one because of the texture it had which complemented the texture of the lace on my dress. My beautiful shoes were by Sam Edleman which I actually also got on sale or $80, similar to the dress these were my second round of shoes. I returned the original gold pumps as they just were not right.
This was followed by the lovely judges Bernadette and Emily taking me up the the Myer table for some dessert and champagne and an exciting debrief.
I am looking forward to sharing my Melbourne Cup Carnival experience with you in November. Stay tuned, in the meantime I have 8 months to plan and create all my dresses. Cannot wait, bring on Spring Carnival.
