The headpiece in particular took me a while, I worked on a bit each night allowing time during the day to develop the design and not rush into anything final.
I finished the piece off with vintage buttons from a tin full of buttons that I was given about 8 years ago.
I must say, this was my favorite part of the whole outfit.
The judging panel included one of my favorite Australian designers Johnny Schembri of 'by johnny'. To have a designer that I respect, judge my designs was really enjoyable.
It was also great to meet Nicole Richie (another judge) who sashed the top 3 ladies as International Myer ambassador for the Golden Slipper.
Pictured here is the winner, Regina wearing the black sash a fellow Alice who was awarded second runner up, Nicole Richie and myself. Love this pic!!
Now onto the next designs and preparing for the Championships day 1 and 2 at Randwick in April. xx
