This year being the final year of my 20's I wanted to make sure I finished the decade strong and set it up for a successful and happy 30's. I am proud to say that I have achieved many of these goals this year which has contributed to one of my most successful years to date. The year has certainly flown by.
Some of my goals that I achieved this year were;
Go on a big trip overseas
Create a fashion design blog
Achieve recognition in a fashions of the field event
The trip overseas was a life changer for me. If you have been following my blog you would know that I travelled to the USA for the first time, staying in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York. Such a wonderful experience and wet the appetite for travel over there again, hopefully same time in 2016.
I am proud of my label and how it has flourished this year. Complimenting it with this blog and the first photoshoot for my spring racing collection have been achievements and experiences that have helped this year be a great one. Also, I have been lucky enough to be part of many more Fashions on the Field events this year in both Sydney and Melbourne. Achieving a second place at the Golden Slipper and meeting Nicole Richie is the absolute highlight of all the events and to add in two top 10 achievements, including Derby Day at Flemington and a second place at the Cellarbrations ladies day at Rosehill Racecourse. I feel that this is a reflection of the growing strength of the label and attention to detail for what the judges are looking for in a racing outfit.
A great way for me to reflect on the year is through my favorite outfits I have designed for myself. Also a great way to view fashion of the year and how I have incorporated my favorite fashion trends of the year into my designs.
My favorite looks are below including a reflection on each.
